Mikey Garcia is not sure which version of Theofimo Lopez we will see in his fight against Arnold Barboza jr. On May 2 at Times Square in New York. Garcia says theofimo (21-1, 13 CO’s) underperforms if he is “unmotivated” or “uneducated” for his battles. He says we will see in the first two rounds if theofimo is in vintage form.
Mikey mentions that we saw it on ‘three different occasions’ from Brooklyn, New York. He does not mention what battles were that Lopez could not act, but he probably talks about these three:

– Kailaine Ortiz
– Sandor Martin
Lopez’s mental state
Theofimo probably lost all three fights, but the judges saved him in his matches against Chailaine and Sandor. You can add the Aofimo’s battles against Pedro Campa and Masayoshi Nakatani to the above list, where he looked unmotivated and mentally disconnected.
With theofimo spiritually up and down, he could fall apart against a good -school fighter like Barboza Jr. (32-0, 11 OS) and look in the ring against this man. Barboza jr. Are the levels above some of the fighters that Lopez has struggled with in the past.
