Have a big match against a friend who can also joke? Then the boy do we have a trick for you.
In this week’s episode of emergency 9, Subpar Drew Stoltz co-perpetrator Separate a slight joke, you can pull into a friend if you both happen to walk the course during a match. Why? Because it will give you an advantage later in the round. And also because it’s funny enough, and golf is about fun, right?
“The goal here is to make your opponent’s bag as heavy as possible,” said Stoltz, “thus reducing their physical viability as the round progresses, thus increasing their amount of money in the pocket.”
Here’s what you do.
Either catch balls from your shag bag at home or get a dozen or two from the range when you go to the course (but make sure you turn them!). Then, when you take time, slowly start downloading them on top of your game partner bag. (You do this because they will not be able to see them; if you load them in the pockets of their bag, they can eventually notice them.)
Be warned, however: you cannot put all the balls at the same time as the change in weight would be visible, but it is gradually it can steal under the radar.
“It is not just as simple as her,” said Stoltz. “All you need is some compliments (to distract them and fall into balls), a little easier and all of a sudden your opponent will deteriorate down the stretch, thus resulting in more money in the pocket.
“And if your friends are something like mine. The last thing they will do is admit the bag is too heavy.”
