It’s Monday, but last week’s Travelers Championship isn’t over yet. A lengthy weather delay significantly affected Sunday’s final round. In the end, the bottom pair of Scottie Scheffler and Viktor Hovland finished their final rounds late Sunday evening tied at 21 under.
With the day missing for a playoff, it was decided that way the two PGA Tour stars would return Monday morning to determine the champion.
The playoff will feature a sudden-death format, with Scheffler and Hovland teeing off on the 18th hole of TPC River Highlands at 9 a.m. ET. If they tie the first playoff hole, they will continue to play the 18th until someone claims the title and the $3.6 million winner’s check. The losing player will receive a whopping $2.16 million consolation prize.
