The New York Yankees suffered a heartbreaking loss in Game 3 of the American League Championship Series on Thursday.
The Yankees took a two-run lead in the bottom of the ninth inning, but gave up a two-run home run in the ninth to tie the game and a two-run home run in the tenth to lose.
Yankees closer Luke Weaver gave up a home run in the ninth and Clay Holmes gave up a home run in the tenth.
The Yankees made a move on their ALCS roster ahead of Game 4 on Friday.
According to Brian Hoch on “X,” Yankees reliever Mark Leiter Jr. has replaced reliever Ian Hamilton on the ALCS roster.

Hamilton came in to pitch the sixth inning of Game 3 when he appeared to tweak his calf while covering first base.
After throwing just seven pitches in the outfield, Hamilton was forced to leave the game, allowing one earned run and one walk.
Leiter Jr. will replace Hamilton on the ALCS roster after appearing in 21 regular season games.
Leiter Jr.’s 21 games included a 4.98 earned run average and 33 strikeouts in 21.2 innings.
Game 4 will be played on Friday as the Yankees look to bounce back from Thursday’s heartbreaking loss.
The Yankees hold a two-to-one series lead over the Rangers after the loss.
In game four, Luis Gil will take the mound for the Yankees and face Gavin Williams of the Guardians.
