Pedro Acosta has confirmed that he is Marc Marquez’s Ducati team partner for the 2027 MotoGP season

Acosta, said to be one of the best-kept secrets in the MotoGP paddock, has been heavily linked with a move to Ducati ahead of the start of the 2026 term.

It is widely understood that the manufacturers have restricted their activity in the MotoGP rider market after reaching an agreement with the MotoGP SEG on a new commercial agreement involving each brand.

Ducati have confirmed that Pedro Acosta will race alongside Marc Marquez at their factory team from 2027.

In a press release, the Borgo Pangale-based MotoGP factory confirmed that Acosta will ride Ducati’s famous red jersey for at least the 2027 and 2028 MotoGP campaigns.

Acosta will switch allegiance from KTM following the conclusion of the current term, a move that comes after a 12-month hiatus that saw the young Spaniard voice his displeasure at the Austrian constructor’s example.
