MotoGP has finally agreed on the future of the sport with the brands on the premier class grid, announcing a ‘historic’ deal in which all five brands have signed a new framework agreement that will run from 2027 to 2031.
Confirmation of the agreement will see every manufacturer on the MotoGP grid sign a uniform agreement similar to the Concorde agreement that has been in place in Formula 1 since the early 1980s.
The agreement ensures that all five factory brands will have – Aprilia, Ducati, Honda, KTM And Yamaha – For the next five years at least. In addition, MotoGP is before the modification of the technical regulations, which will be implemented next year.
In parallel with the agreement with each manufacturer, MotoGP has also agreed to offer main contracts with the 11 teams that make up the grid, with an official announcement on this agreement expected ‘in due course’.
Following the announcement of the historic deal, MotoGP Sports Entertainment Group CEO, Carmelo IzpeletaHe said, “Today is a pivotal moment for MotoGP.
