Schedule of events. No public announcements or calls for events will be made during the contest. Athletes and coaches are responsible for knowing the event schedule.
Communication. There are two ways to contact Meet Management during the competition:
- The Solutions Desk is located at the package pickup location.
- The Nike Outdoor Nationals channel BAND app.
Spike Policy:
- All athletes must use only spikes no longer than 1/4 inch (7 mm) in length, except in the high jump and javelin where 3/8 inch (9 mm) or smaller spikes may be used.
- Replacement patches will be available for sale in the retail area.
- Only USATF/World Athletics approved athletic shoes will be permitted in competition. World Athletics has provided a shoe verification link for approved shoes that are available HERE.
Warm-Up:
- Athletes can warm up on the warm-up track or off the field. Be sure to bring your pencil with you when you leave the venue.
- The facility will be open for practice on Wednesday afternoons from 2:00pm to 7:00pm.
Athlete registration/registration
- The order of the event is that the girls will compete first, followed by the boys. Heat assignments are based on performance lists, with the “fastest” heat being last. Heats at trials will be randomized in accordance with USATF rules.
- Check-in time: All athletes must report to the event area at least 30 minutes prior to their heat/flight. Be sure to check the schedule for the exact call time assigned to your heat/flight. Office space is located in the call room. Please see the facility map.
- Personal items. For safety and security, do not leave personal items unattended in clerical or heating areas. Please leave them to a teammate/family member/coach.
- Championship, Middle School and U20 athletes are allowed ONE small bag to call room 2. Our cart crew will move your item to the recovery area in the tunnel at the end of your event. Developing elite athletes should be prepared for service tent racing.
Zone assignments and preferences
- 100 m, 110 m/110 m hurdles. The assignment of the belts is 6-7-5-8-4-9-3-2-1.
- 200m, 400m, 4x100m, 4x200m, 4x400m, SMR. The zone designation is 8-7-9-5-6-4-3-2-1.
- 800m, mile, 2mile, 5000, 4×800, 4xmile, DMR. Zone assignments are random.
Starting blocks
- Usage: Starting blocks must be used in events of 400 meters or less. Athletes should start from the “down” position.
- Starting blocks will be provided on site at Hayward Field.
False start
- Rule: One false start results in disqualification of the offending athlete under USATF rules.
Prohibitions
- The height. The bar for boys will be set at 39 inches and for girls at 33 inches.
Relays
- Moving on.
- 4×100 m and 4×200 m. Four-turn turn (routes throughout).
- SMR and 4×400 m.
- 4x800m, DMR, 4xMile, one lap shock.
- Exchange zone. The 4 x 100 meter relay will use a 30 meter exchange zone; A 20 meter interchange zone will be used for all other relays.

Relay batons
- Meet management will provide batons for relays in call room 2.
Relay cards
- Presentation: Coaches must complete relay cards and submit them to the official at least 60 minutes before the scheduled start of each relay. Transfer cards are available at the packet pickup location and at the front desk.
Field Event Policies and Procedures
Verification/Bureaucracy
- Athletes in field events must register at the venue at least 30 minutes prior to the event.
- Flight assignment. based on the execution list; the best flight is the last one. During casual flight assignments in accordance with USATF rules.
- The time of the experiment. There is a 60 second time limit per attempt per USATF rules.

- Wednesday, June 17. 14:00-19:00
- Thursday-Monday. starts 2 hours before the start of the first throwing event and will be open until the end of the last throwing event.

- Implementation Usage. All throwing tools are available to any athlete in competition.
Vertical progression

Competition:
- There is no coaching box for any field event.
- Before the warm-up period, athletes may be assisted in carrying the poles onto the court.
- Vaulting coaches will be removed from the field prior to the start of competition as directed by officials.
Awards:
- Medals. The top eight places in the championship and the top six places in all other divisions were awarded.
- Championship necklaces. Awarded to each Championship Division winner, including relay teams.
- All-American recognition. The top eight finishers in the Champions Division will be named NSAF First Team All-American and will receive All-American trophies and certificates. Players 9-16 will be named Second Team All-Americans. All athletes earning All-America honors will have access to the All-America Store.
- Other awards: Awards for the Emerging Elite, Freshman, Middle School and Club Divisions will be awarded at the awards table. There will be no official award ceremony.
