This week’s best are on Long Island for the 2026 US Open at Shinnecock Hillsand the two top-ranked stars lead the betting favourites. Here’s everything you need to know about the US Open odds and other betting favorites to start the week.
US Open Betting Favorites
In recent years, there hasn’t been much change in the major championships in terms of betting favorites. US Open this week it’s no different, with the world number 1 and world number 2 occupying the top two positions in the early odds.
Scottie Scheffler leads the way with +550 odds to win. He is used to being in this position. Scheffler was the favorite at the Masters and PGA, but he fell short, finishing second and T14, respectively. However, he has four major championship titles to his name, but none of them are the US Open.
Add extra intrigue? If Scheffler wins this week, he will end his career Grand Slam.
Rory McIlroy follows Scheffler, who comes into the week with +1100 odds to win. McIlroy, of course, won the Masters in April, then he finished T7 at the PGA Championship.
Right behind McIlroy is LIV Golf’s first player on the list: Jon Rahm(+1200). Rahm finished T2 at the PGA last month, his best major since 2023.
Rounding out the top 5 in pre-US Open betting odds are Cameron Young (+1800), Tommy Fleetwood (+2000) and Xander Schauffele (+2000).
