Randy Mamola believes MotoGP riders can no longer be complacent about how they approach their pre-race preparations.
MotoGP fans questioned Martin for his fatal crash. At the start of the Hungarian Grand Prix, he did some serious damage.
Massimo Rivola agreed with Martin. It suggests that a rider competing for a world championship would never make such a mistake.
George Martin apologized for the accident at the start of the Hungarian GP. How would you feel if you were Marco Bezeci?
But Martin’s crash, however reckless, is the latest in a long list of incidents that have put driver safety at risk this season.
And Filling Randy To prevent these situations from happening again, MotoGP believes it is time for riders to stop being complacent and play an active role.

Randy Mamola has urged MotoGP drivers to practice F1 to avoid a repeat of the George Martin incident.
Speaking on Race back podcast, former premier class rider Randy Mamola points out why it’s so important for riders to attend and speak up at safety commission meetings.
He also pointed to Formula 1, where all drivers must attend mandatory safety meetings on the Friday before a race, where officials can discuss some of the rules with them.
“In that room, someone stood up and said, ‘What were you doing?
“If there are rules and stuff, there’s a lot of riders who don’t know something is out, because it comes to the teams via email and they may or may not be told by the team principal.
“Formula 1 has a mandatory meeting on Friday, and everyone has to go with one team member, when the team members are finished the team members leave, and now it’s just about the drivers.
“Drivers get into arguments and things like that, but somebody’s going to make a mistake all the time and they’re going to make some kind of mistake. Mistakes are mistakes, but you’ve got to wake up because you’re all in this together.”

What are your thoughts on the independent media taking MotoGP the same way as F1?

Randy Mamola says all MotoGP riders must attend Safety Commission meetings.
Speaking earlier in the interview, Mamola urged all MotoGP riders to attend the Safety Commission meetings to have a better understanding of the rules.
“Personally, what I’m tired of hearing is when Simon Crafar and his team are penalized or saying something different, and everyone has their own opinion about it, whether you see it upstairs or just being fascinated by it.
But the sad thing is that everyone is yelling at each other on the wall, what should happen, instead of having a safety committee, five go or eight go, you should have 23 … No one understands why they made a rule …
“How people saw Marc crash at the Jerez race, pick up his bike and ride on the grass and pick up the other bike and win the race is still up in the air. Only Marc Marquez can do that. But obviously it won’t be allowed next time.”
But never thought, this would never happen. I think when you’re in the same room together, you can fight about it. Just last week, George Martin definitely made a mistake… to the inside of that corner, it’s slippery.
“Everybody knows it’s slippery, but in the first 300 meters you don’t know if you’re trying to go fast unless you’re on a supercharged swinging motorcycle that looks like a drag bike. You can hang a man.”
So far for their classes MotoGP officials are testing an F1-style start. In Brino this weekend, with two drivers in a row instead of the usual three.
But there are still many who feel it. MotoGP’s response to Martin’s crash is inadequate. And they want strong action to be taken.
