Five deep thoughts from Morocco at the meeting. – runblogrun

  2. Kenny Bednarek sets meet record with dominant victory by a furlong. In Bednarek’s signature event, the 200 meters, Kung Fun Kenny of Rice Lake, Wisconsin, and all of Wisconsin cheered as Kenny ran 19.69, a new meet record, winning by nearly three-tenths of a second.

  3. Max Burgin is a talented British middle distance runner. Max took the lead and held on in Rabat, leading all ten finishers by 1:45. Burgin even held back a quick finisher, Emmanuel Wanyonyi, world champion, how? Max Burgin World leader in 1:42.98. Max Burgin was very happy with his victory.

  4. Audrey Verreau Was the 2025 European Athletics Rising Star. This writer watched him at Apeldoorn 2025 where he impressed, finishing 6th. At World Indoors 2025, Audrey placed 4th and at World Outdoors, Audrey placed sixth. Last year, Audrey Vero won the Diamond League title and set a Swiss NR of 1:55.91. In Rabat, Audrey Vero opened with a world-leading 1:56.56 and a new Meet record. Audrey also demonstrated another skill, holding off all competitors in the 800 meter race.

  5. Joe Kovacs is a tough shooter. Three-time Olympic silver medalist, two-time World Champions gold, two-time World Champions silver and one World Champions bronze medalist. (Eight medals since 2015!) Joe Kovacs threw 22.58 meters in his second round attempt to set a meet record and world lead. Joe Kovacs won by a shot Ryan Kruser, triple world gold, triple Olympic gold in shot put.

  6. Honorable Mention 1. Tina Clayton wins the 100m in 10.85 as the Jamaicans sweep the 100m.

  7. Honorable mention 2. Emma Zapletalova Breaks the Slovakian record again, this time in the 400m hurdles, taking a world lead and NR of 52.82.
