title contender and Aprilia partner, George MartinHe is experiencing the polar opposite. He is the most impressive rider in the Sprint format this year, but he left a lot of points on the table by not being able to repeat his strong form on Sunday.

Bezechichi He remains in control of the championship Hungarian Grand Prix This weekend, however, his lead is tenuous as he is only 17 points ahead of Martin in the drivers’ standings.

Neil Hodgson says Marco Bezecchi lacks ‘explosive’ tendencies in MotoGP.

During his column b TNT Sports In this weekend’s meaningful session at the Hungarian Grand Prix, in front of the MotoGP pundit Neil Hodgson He outlined his latest prediction about the championship landscape.

Although Bezecchi is leading the MotoGP standings when he arrives at Balaton Park, Italian Aprilia team-mate Martin remains Hodgson’s favorite to win the title at the end of the year.

“For now, I see George Martin as the favorite for the championship,” he wrote. “I think Martin is still working on how to get the best out of the bike. I think Bezcicci is riding at the absolute limit now, but Martin has a lot to give.”

“Marco is leading the championship, so you can’t say he’s doing too much wrong, but I’m worried the balance isn’t right.”

Hodgson previously explained how. Martin needs to figure out his one-lap pace to qualify. But the biggest ‘problem’ for Bezecchi is the lack of explosives on a MotoGP bike if he is to claim another World Cup in the sport.

“He seems to be putting all his energy into making things dominant on Sunday, which means he leaves points on the table in Saturday’s Sprints,” continued the former MotoGP rider.

“The problem is he’s not an explosive rider. Martin goes hell for leather in the sprints, even if he’s not that good. Bezcicci isn’t that character, so I don’t know how much it will change for him if there’s any change.”

The #72 is widely regarded as one of the most protected riders in the MotoGP paddock, adding to the puzzle of his superior skills on two wheels.

But if he continues to post strong results in the Grand Prix, he could reach his first world championship in the sport.
