On July 18, the coaching partners and rivals will play two rounds at the London Stadium.
World indoor 1500m champion and Olympic bronze medalist Georgia Hunter Bell, world 800m outdoor silver medallist, will join M11 Running Club training partner Keeley Hodgkinson on the 800m start line at the Novuna London Athletics Meet on Saturday 18 July.
Hunter Bell is the British record holder over 1500m in 3:52.61, but his talent over two laps is undisputed. Highlights in 2025 included two Wanda Diamond League wins and a national title, but most notably a podium finish in 1:54.90 at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, a lifetime best, second on the British all-time list and ninth fastest in the world.

At the 2024 event, dipping just below the two-minute mark for the first time earlier that year, Hunter Bell finished third in a personal best of 1:56.28 behind GB team-mate Hodgkinson – a race-winning meeting record and national record of 1:54.61 – and Gemma Rickey (1:55). It was only the second race in history in which eight women were better than 1:58.
A year later, he stormed straight away from the field to win in 1:56.74 in front of a sell-out crowd of 60,000, proving that the tactical work he had done in training to maximize his 800m potential had paid off.
“The London Diamond League is the best day on the calendar,” he says. “Winning in front of the home crowd last year was crazy and I can’t wait to get back with the girls this year to see how fast we can go. It’s going to be epic.”
