His campaign included a century and five half-centuries, making him one of the most dominant batsmen of the season.

As the debate over Suryavanshi’s future continues to gather pace, Sachin Tendulkar believes that the youngster should be allowed to develop naturally without being burdened by expectations.
Speaking to ESPNcricinfo, Tendulkar admitted that every cricket fan would like to see Suryavanshi play Test cricket at some point in his career. However, he stressed that the timing of such a step should be left to the voters and team management, rather than making it an object of public discussion.
The batsman stated that young players with great talent need encouragement and support. He emphasized that instead of repeatedly asking if Suryavanshi was selected for a particular squad or format, the cricketing community should enjoy watching him grow and let the decision-makers guide his development.
“Not just me, everyone wants to see him (play Test cricket) at some stage. I don’t know when that will happen. But an exciting talent needs encouragement. And if he is doing well, we should encourage and support him and above all enjoy him and not put pressure on him all the time. The ones (selectors) are responsible for that.” Tendulkar said.

Tendulkar explains why Suryavanshi is a special player
While discussing Suryavanshi’s batting, Tendulkar pointed to qualities that go far beyond his ability to clear boundaries. According to the former India captain, what makes the youngster truly unique is his exceptional wrist work and ability to get into all corners of the ground. Tendulkar explained that playing shots in different directions requires excellent control and bat speed, something Suryavanshi naturally possesses.
The Master Blaster was particularly impressed with the teenager’s ability to read line and length faster than most shots. Rather than relying solely on power, Suryavanshi anticipates the deliveries quickly and is perfectly positioned to attack the bowlers.
Tendulkar noted that the youngster doesn’t just flick the ball but uses superior timing, technique and game awareness to clear the ropes with ease. These qualities, coupled with his fearless mentality, convinced many that Indian cricket had unearthed a rare talent capable of achieving great things in the coming years.
“I mean, he’s really something special. And it’s not just his batting ability, but what I’m impressed with is his wrist work. You need good wrist work to be able to play in all directions of the ground. He doesn’t rub the ball. He just picks line and length quicker than other guys and can clear the rope with ease.” Tendulkar added.
