Court records show that Handy first issued a warrant on Feb. 2. Davis’ legal team later requested that the warrant be revoked, arguing that the former lightweight champion would cooperate with authorities. The motion was granted on February 10, temporarily removing the warrant.
Another warrant was issued by the same judge on April 24. Davis’ attorneys again filed a motion asking that the warrant be revoked, but this time the request was denied. The reason for the denial was not immediately listed in court records.
Davis, 31, is currently on probation stemming from a 2020 hit-and-run case in Baltimore that injured four people. The latest issue is related to his January arrest in Miami involving allegations by ex-girlfriend Courtney Rossel.
Rossel accused Davis of assaulting her at a Miami strip club where she worked as a VIP cocktail server. The alleged incident took place on October 27, 2025. Rossel later filed a civil lawsuit related to the allegations, and Davis was ultimately removed from his planned November fight against Jake Paul.
Florida authorities arrested Davis on Jan. 14 on charges of battery, attempted kidnapping and false imprisonment. He was released later that day after posting an $8,500 bond and ordered to have no contact with Rossel.
The false imprisonment charge was later dropped, but the battery and attempted kidnapping charges remain active.
Baltimore County court records state that Davis will be held without bond if he is arrested on the probation violation warrant.
