Brad Binder says there’s one simple reason why it’s so hard to pass up.

KTM star Brad Binder admits his notoriously aggressive defensive riding is sometimes to his own detriment.

According to former KTM boss Francesco Guidotti Binder fights like a ‘lion’ On the road. He now has 120 seeds in the premier class.

He also won a few laps earlier, beating Marco Bezecic in the VR46 by less than a tenth.

In an interview with Moto ITBinder was asked about the popularity that was ‘surprisingly’ to pass. He said that sometimes he overdoes his late braking strategy.

“I don’t know,” he said. “Sometimes I think I’m a little late on the brakes. That’s why I’m so late.”

“Brene, I’m late, I’m late, then I’m not going anywhere. Yes, I’m obviously hard to get through, but that’s a good thing for me.”

On the flip side, Binder has revealed that he has more than any other rider in the 2021 season as he moves up to sixth in the championship.

Eligibility has been a long-standing weakness for Binder.But on Sunday, he said he was in no rush to recover.

“At that time it was worse in qualifying but I think I was stronger in the race. I could always go forward. Now I think I’m still bad in qualifying, but I’m not as strong in the race.”

“I don’t overtake as many riders as I used to. But in the end it all comes down to speed in MotoGP. If you have a bit more speed than the guy in front, you always find a way.”

Binder has made a commendable recovery since a thigh problem dropped him to 20th place last time out in Barcelona. He eventually finished seventh, although he was being helped by some retirees ahead.

Looking forward to Mugello Binder receives the KTM update This is expected to give it a higher speed. That theoretically makes it even harder to pass.
