The New York Mets defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-3 in Game 2 of the National League Championship Series on Monday.

Grand slam hitter Mark Vientos hit a grand slam in the 2nd inning of Game 2.
Vientos has been on fire throughout the 2024 postseason, and he kept it going Monday.
Vientos has a .378 average with 3 home runs, 11 runs batted in, a .676 slugging percentage and 1.086 on-base percentage in 9 postseason games, according to MLB Network “X.”

The Vientos’ 11 runs are the third most in franchise history in a single postseason, and they’re heading into just Game 3 of the NLCS.
In 111 games during the regular season, Vientos hit .266 with 27 home runs, 71 runs batted in and an .837 on-base plus slugging percentage.
Vientos broke out at just the right time for the Mets, as his postseason stats show.

Game 3 is Wednesday night in New York, where the Mets will look to Luis Severino against Walker Buehler for the Dodgers.
Vientos will lead the way as the Mets look to hold their bats and take a 2-1 win in Game 3.
