Jake Paul has responded to Canelo Alvarez after the undisputed super middleweight champion previously responded to talk of a potential fight between them with laughing emojis on social media.
While greeting fans and media during a public appearance this week, Jake was asked about the financial conditions he believes will be necessary to make the fight happen.
“Yeah, 200 (million) for him, 300 (million) for me. We’ll get the deal done. Easy job,” Paul told Fight Hub TV when asked about a possible deal with Canelo.
The comment immediately attracted attention because of the enormous figure attached to the fight. Jake has continued to call for a fight against Canelo over the past year despite criticism from many boxing fans and fighters who see the matchup as unrealistic.
Jake was then asked about Canelo and responded with laughing emojis when the topic of a fight between them came up online.
“I don’t know what it means, but he’s not going to laugh when I spank his ass,” says Paul.
The rivalry between the two has continued to build publicly through interviews and social media exchanges, though no official negotiations have been announced.
Jake has repeatedly mentioned Canelo in interviews over the past year and floated the possibility of a future fight despite widespread skepticism in boxing circles.
Canelo is currently scheduled to face Christian Mbilli later this year in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, while Jake continues to recover from injuries sustained in his December 2025 fight against Anthony Joshua.
