Pedro Acosta secured his pole position during MotoGP qualifying at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain. Riding the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing RC16 on the dry 2.89-mile (4.66 km) track, the Spaniard topped the 22-rider field with a 1:38.068.
Franco Morbidelli took the third and final position on the front row with a 1:38.301 on the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team Ducati Desmosedici GP25, and Alex Marquez on the BK8 Gresini Racing Ducati Desmosedici GP26 with a 1:38.342.
Row two qualifiers included Aprilia Trackhouse’s Raul Fernandez (1:38.453), Castrol Honda LCR’s Johann Zarco (1:38.474) and Morbidelli’s team-mate Fabio Di Gianntononio (1:38.477).
