The McLaren Golf has had a rocky start, at least in this area.
For starters, brand ambassador Justin Rose was a combined +1 in his last two PGA Tour starts. To put things into perspective, he was a combined -16 in the two starts before that.
When you touch $375 per club price (yes, you read that right), the McLaren Golf is hard to take seriously.
But let’s put aside the slow start from the starting line of the tournament for now, OK?
I decided to find a good side of the McLaren Golf and what they have to offer. I found it in the form of clothing that embodies F1 and everything McLaren hopes to build.

Most of the time, hats are an affordable option that allows you to represent a brand you love without breaking the bank. McLaren Golf caps range from $40 to $100, with most priced under $100.
Spending $100 on a hat feels unjustifiable, but it feels a little less so when you realize that most of the McLaren Golf hat collection is made by Melin. McLaren Golf caps see a slight increase in price over the typical Melin cap, but it’s by no means astronomical.
McLaren Golf Icon Logo Umbrella – Papaya
I’ve never been much of an umbrella guy, but something about the Papaya coloring of the Umbrella Logo speaks to me.
I’d be shocked if we don’t see this piece in more racetrack promotional materials/collaborations.
McLaren Golf Apex Check Blade Putter Head Cover
I think this checkered flag inspired design is tight.
Some of you will decide to be “Grinchy” and call it ugly, but racing fans won’t care. If you follow F1 and play with knives, you’d be a fool not to add this to your bag.
