Taking to social media platform X, the franchise made a polite but firm request asking fans not to bring political banners, flags or rallies into the stadium during an IPL match.

The message quickly gained traction online, with many supporters appreciating the franchise’s efforts to maintain a festive cricket atmosphere during one of the most important political moments in Tamil Nadu’s history.
The overlap between Vijay’s inauguration and the IPL match naturally attracted a lot of public attention. Both CSK and Vijay enjoy unparalleled popularity in Tamil Nadu and the possibility of political symbolism entering the stadium environment was always a talking point.
