What to watch?
60m Indoor European Champion 2025 Jeremiah Azu will make a rare appearance in the 200m. Azu won the British indoor title at this distance in February with a lifetime best of 20.77. He will also compete with his Welsh teammates in the 4x100m in preparation for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow this July.
Also fresh from the athletics relays, watch out for the European U20 champion Charlotte Heinrich 400 m. In the women’s 4x400m final, the 19-year-old led Great Britain to fourth place with an outstanding 49.40 anchor leg. Also included in the field is Henrich’s relay teammate Poppy Malik and Ireland Sophie Becker.

The men’s 3000m has another exciting prospect Sebastian Lørstad From Sweden. Lørstad, who turned 18 last month, ran a 28:21 10km in February to become the fastest European under-20 in history, aside from Jakob Ingebrigtsen. It is not a stretch to suggest that Lørstad can even come close to the long-standing European Under-20 3000m record of 7:43.20.
Women’s 800m, Australia Catriona Bissetwho is part of the same coaching group as Keeley Hodgkinson and Georgia Hunter Bell, heads a strong field that also includes UK Abigail Ivesof Ireland Louise Shanahan, and Belgium Vanessa Scounett.
The best of the British will compete in the men’s 800m race Henry Jonas, Justin Davis, and: Callum Doddsall of whom broke the 1:45 barrier last year, among the standout contenders.

But the highlight of the meet is likely to be the men’s 1500m, featuring the 5000m world silver medallist. Isaac Kimmel. The Belgian will meet the world medalist Ben Pattison800m bronze medalist at the 2023 World Athletics Championships and multiple European U23 cross-country champion Will Barnicott.
