Are your knees weak? Heavy arms?
Then the palms must be sweaty even on the golf course. Eminem knew—he just didn’t specify that “Lose Yourself” was about golf gloves.
The easy solution to sweaty hands is a golf glove, but you need to choose the right one. Some premium leather gloves don’t offer enough breathability to help your soft hands and will end up making things worse.
I’ve tested 5 gloves you should consider if you usually deal with sweaty, wet hands. As the Eminem song says, you only get “one shot” if you’re trying to fall down. And trust me, you won’t if your hands are dripping with sweat.
We’ll start with some leather gloves, then look at some synthetic options, and finally- a glove to avoid them all together.
Here are the 5 best golf gloves for sweaty hands.

PING makes anti-perspirant right with PING tournament.
As you can see with the image above, the ventilation holes appear not only on the top of the hand, but on the inside of the fingers above the palm. This design maximizes the amount of air that gets in and how much heat is pushed out.
After testing nearly 60 golf gloves this year, I will make a bold claim that PING tournament is the most breathable Cabretta golf glove your money can buy.

of PXG players it’s a step down from the PING Tour, but still deserves a spot in our top-5 most breathable golf gloves.
Ventilation channels are located on the top of the hand and the bottom of the fingers for high level ventilation. Some people prefer the feel of natural leather when playing golf (I’m one of those people).
You don’t have to sacrifice breathability when choosing leather, and PXG makes sure you don’t with Golf Gloves for PXG Players.

The first synthetic golf glove is Range Rooster by Red Rooster.
This might be one of the thinnest golf gloves I’ve ever worn, with vents on both sides of the fingers and at the end of each finger. When you mix an ultra-thin design and three heat release zones, you get a glove that’s suitable for those prone to sweating.
of Range Rooster positioned as a practice glove focused on reps and distance training. Keep this in mind before buying the Range Turkey.

of FootJoy SciFlex it was built for moments like this.
of SciFlex it’s not just synthetic because of its leather palm, but you’ll notice a unique design that offers ample breathability in the palm. Upon further examination, I estimate that roughly 70% of the entire glove has some sort of venting technology.
This is by far the widest design for maximum breathability and may just be the most breathable golf glove on the market.

Palm Golf has been focusing on lifestyle gloves for a while now and theirs All Weather Golf Gloves it is suitable for sweaty hands.
In addition to being built for ventilation and moisture, it also has the most flare of this set of gloves featured. If you are looking for breathability, performance and a touch of style, this is for you.
The hexagonal honeycomb design optimizes grip while the fingertips have holes to release heat. The toe sides are stylized and thinner to produce additional airflow.
One to Avoid: The Bruce Bolt Original Series Golf Glove

To provide some contrast, I wanted to highlight a glove that I would avoid at all costs if you have sweaty hands.
The Original Series golf gloves from Bruce Bolt get an A+ in terms of grip and feel, but as you can see, there’s very little breathability. Skin without breathability is a poor combination. There are small holes at the bottom of the fingers, but the lack of ventilation around the fingers is a concern for players with sweaty hands.
Closing thoughts
When it comes to choosing a breathable golf glove, look for these 2 things –
- Synthetic design.
A synthetic golf glove will almost always be better in terms of breathability, but there are trade-offs. While you may solve your initial problem of having sweaty hands, you will almost certainly lose some key features like grip, feel and comfort. - If you go with Cabretta leather, make sure it has proper ventilation.
Having sweaty hands on the golf course doesn’t mean you can never buy a Cabretta leather glove again. It just means you have to be more intentional with the specific grip you choose. Look for gloves with ventilation in many places and focus on storing gloves in a cool, dry place.
