Gabby Thomas completes double in Addis Ababa (April 18), the first part of her greatest adventure

Gabby’s Greatest Adventure, Part 1: Adidas Abba Grand Prix (April 18),

Gabby Thomas is the Olympic champion in 200 meters. He is a great all-around athlete with speed in the 100, 200 and 400 meters.

Gabby Thomas replaces the 2025 early season GST series with a short three-match African Athletics meet.

Gabby Thomas is healthy in 2026, having to pull out of Tokyo 2025 due to Achilles tendon problems.

Trained by Tonya Buford-Bailey, Gabby Thomas always comes into the season with great strength and builds her speed over several races.

Its first meeting took place in Addis Ababa on April 18, 2026. In front of a wonderfully enthusiastic crowd on a brand new track. At the high altitude of Addis Ababa, Gabby Thomas ran the 100 meters in 11.13 seconds and the 200 meters in 22.15 seconds, both wins. What a great way to start his African tour. Training partner Cambria Sturgis was third in the 100m in 11.36 and second in the 200m in 22.42.
