Speaking after the match, CSK assistant bowling coach Sridharan revealed that Dhoni’s innings was instrumental in Noor’s revival. He further highlighted Dhoni’s involvement in Noor’s improvement, revealing that the veteran wicketkeeper-batsman spent time with the youngster during training sessions.
“It was good. The keeper helped today. There was a bit of a turn for him. The other wickets are fairly straight but it was a bit slower in the air today. The ball had more side spin and more drop. It’s something he’s been working on. MS even had a long chat with him in one of the training sessions, especially about the broken leg. It was really helpful to see the results there today.” Sridharan told the media after the match.
