Alex Brown won the Port of Blyth race from Blyth Quayside to Seaton Sluice and back by half a minute over Lewis Liddle as Jessica Eaton won the women’s race in 37:27.
There were a number of good performances from the veteran women in the field, notably top W60 Jackie Murdy’s 41:59.

Tom Take and Gabriel Pinder have been the standout runners in this league, which have yet to catch on properly and the innings remain disappointingly low.
Theke won the under-17 men’s race in 16:05 after battling with Louis Hemmings throughout. He said: “I was a bit ahead, but it ended up being a sprint.”
Speaking of the constant wind, he noted that “there was some protection under the trees.”
Pinder retained her girls’ under-15 title after leading throughout, while women’s under-17 winner Isabella Harrison said:
