Lyles for Ostrava Golden Spike, Tamberi returns
OSTRAVA (CHE) Olympic and World Champion Noah Lyles will make his debut at the 65th WACT Gold in Ostrava on June 16, and he will run in the 150m. “I am very happy to perform at the Zlatá tretra stadium in Ostrava, Czech Republic. It’s really special to me because I’ve been following this match for years. I’ll run 150 meters and maybe attack the best performance in the world,” Lyles said.

The world’s best was achieved last weekend in Miramar (14.92: Keeshan Thompson). Home ace Jan Stefela (high jump) and Karolina Manasova (100m) will have strong competitors Gianmarco Tamberi (return to Ostrava 2022 and after 230 victories) and Eva Svoboda respectively.

The 100m hurdles will feature both WR holders (outdoor and indoor) Toby Amusan and Devin Charlton against Nadine Visser, while world indoor champion Jakub Szymanski will compete in the men’s hurdles. Josh Hoy will attempt to break the 1000m world record when competing against Mohamed Atawi. Leonardo Fabbri, Jordan Geist and Tomasz Stanek are the best names on the ball.
