The Atlanta-based golf retail giant has decided to increase membership value by adding childcare services, a first for the golf retail industry.
At an approximate value of $200 per day, the new childcare add-on quickly comes on top of the Player’s Club Plus membership benefits, giving players a way to practice, equip and shop without the burden of paying hungry toddler around.
As part of the new initiative, PGA TOUR Superstore is offering dual certification to its fitters. Those who complete the intensive course will be certified to provide childcare services in addition to their existing duties as fitters.
The PGA TOUR Superstores approach to childcare mirrors that of a Montessori school, with lots of hands-on learning opportunities. From fitting rooms to the shoe section, kids will have a chance to “help” childcare specialists better serve customers.
