Separate training time for the 2nd round
Great champion Shane Lowry hopes to make a strong start to 2026 PGA Tour season with an early win at the Texas Children’s Houston Open.
The veteran pro, who is ranked 32nd in the Official World Golf Rankingearned a T8 in his first start of the year at Pebble Beach. Then at the Cognizant Classic, Lowry finished T2 after dropping the win on Sunday. Since then, Lowry hasn’t looked as good. He has missed two straight cuts, at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Players Championship.
He will likely hope to rebuild some positive momentum at Memorial Park this week with Masters 2026 just two weeks away.
After an early start on the back nine in Round 1, Lowry will move into an afternoon tee and the first start for Friday’s second round.
Lowry will begin his second round on Friday at 1:42 PM ET with playing partners Rickie Fowler AND Wyndham Clarke.
