The judges scored it 99-90, 100-89 and 99-90 in favor of Visioli, who also scored a takedown and set the pace of the opening round through the final bell.
Visioli used his jab from the opening round and kept Giles at bay while adding straight punches and body shots. Giles continued to come forward behind a high guard, but had limited success in landing cleanly. Visioli maintained the same pattern over the rounds and added to his lead on the scorecards.
Giles came forward behind a high guard but landed few clean shots and did not change the direction of the fight.
Visioli’s timing and positioning allowed him to pick shots without taking sustained backfire, and a takedown in the middle portion of the fight increased his lead on the cards. Giles got up and continued, but the pace and control stayed with Visioli for the rest of the fight.
There were no point deductions. A low blow from Giles in the later rounds caused a brief pause, after which the fight resumed without incident.
Visioli (11-0, 6 KOs) completed the first defense of the English title he captured in December and did so without needing extended exchanges. His performance was built on consistent jab usage, controlled movement and steady body punching over all 10 rounds. He maintained distance, limited Giles’ opportunities and added shots in almost every round.
The match took place on the main card of the George Liddard vs. Tyler Denny event at the Copper Box Arena in London, promoted by Matchroom Boxing and broadcast on DAZN. The result puts Visioli in position for a higher-level domestic fight later this year, with his control of distance and bodywork standing out over the full 10 rounds.
