MEDIUMS OF THE DAY
“This winter I was preparing in Ukraine. I was a bit tired moving from one country to another. I wanted to stay home. We trained without electricity in really cold halls, but the sweet feeling of finally being able to be at home is much more important.” Yaroslava Mahuchich after winning the high jump title.

“I messed up the starting line. i placed my blocks at 200m instead of 400m. My mother shouted at me, but I couldn’t hear her. thought he was talking about the line number, not the starting line. I felt really relaxed at the end of the race. It was close, but I’m happy to get to the next round.” Henriette Yager after the 400m heat.

“I wanted to come here and complete a full collection of world hall of fame medals … I still think I could have thrown further. I’m not a big fan of indoor games, everyone knows that. This is my rest period. I probably won’t throw in again.” Chase Jackson after winning the world indoor championship title.
