“I think Marco is obviously at a very high level, and right now he’s the favorite,” Martin said. “There’s not much more to it than that, but I’d say you’re right.

Obviously I have to work hard to get back to my peak after what I’ve been through, but like I said before, it’s just a matter of time, and I’m pretty relaxed about it.

“I think our track records speak for themselves. And then, I don’t know, I’m not going to back down from the riders I’ve beaten before. I just have to keep going my own way.”
