After losing the toss and being asked to bat first, India got off to a tough start with Sanju Samson (7 off 10), Suryakumar Yadav (10 off 8) and Abhishek Sharma (11 off 15) falling. Rinku Singh (29 off 53) contributed valuable runs but it was Nitish Kumar Reddy who stole the show with a brilliant 74 off just 34 balls. His innings was completed with 4 fours and 7 powerful sixes to give India the upper hand after a slow start. Hardik Pandya added crucial runs in 19 off 32, while Riyan Parag scored a cameo in 6 off 15 to help India cross the 200-run target.
