We talk about power rankings in professional golf all the time.
But what about golf on YouTube?
Creators are playing weekly open qualifiers, match series, stroke championships and break-70 challenges and the level continues to rise.
So every two weeks, we’re breaking it down YouTube Golf Power Rankingswho is moving up, who just made a move, and whose handicap is actually in the right direction. of all data comes from the handicap tracker.
What is the handicap tracker?
Handicap tracker started when its founder, Jamie, was watching one of his favorite YouTube channels, Fore Bros. After following their journey from beginners to improved players, the trio suddenly claimed their handicaps had dropped into the low-teens, numbers that didn’t quite match what fans were seeing week after week.
The comments sections were full of arguments, so Jamie set about tracking the scores shown in their videos and calculating the correct handicaps for Dec, Ron and Paddy. A leaderboard website was built to allow others to view the results and that’s where everything changed.
Curiosity about the flaws of other creators quickly spread. One by one, Grant Horvat, Rick Shiels, Garrett Clark, Peter Finch, Bryan Bros, and even Bryson DeChambeau, were added to the YouTuber Handicap Leaderboard.
This simple idea grew into Handicap Tracker, a complete custom-built platform at handicap-tracker.comnow tracks scores from 100+ golfers on YouTube, updating handicaps daily with new videos and giving fans a complete history of each player’s rounds.
In just one year, it has grown dramatically, with fans and creators actively engaging with the leaderboard and constantly checking in to see how their favorite players stack up against each other.
