David Almansa secured pole position in Saturday’s Moto3 World Championship qualifier at the Chang International Circuit in Thailand. Riding his Liqui Moly Dynavolt Inact GP KTM on Pirelli Control tires, Almansa turned a lap time of 1:40.088. Not only was it good enough to lead the field of 26 riders, but it was also good enough to eclipse Jose Antonio Ruda’s 2025 all-time lap record of 1:40.350.
Alvaro Carpe on the Red Bull KTM Ajo was the best remaining with a 1:40.518, while Adrian Fernandez won the third and final row at the front with a 1:40.693 on the Leopard Racing Honda.
