Marco Bezecchi topped MotoGP World Championship Free Practice One (FP1) on Friday morning at the Chang International Circuit in Thailand. The Italian, riding the Michelin-shod Aprilia Racing RS-GP26, led the 22-rider field with a lap of 1:29.346 around the 2.83-mile (4.55 km) track.
Fabio Di Giannantonio was second best in 1:29.456 on the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Ducati Desmosedici GP26.
Bezecchi’s teammate Jorge Martin was third with a lap of 1:29.551.
In the year 2025 MotoGP World Champion Marc Marquez on his Ducati Lenovo Desmosedici GP26 finished the opening session 6th with a lap of 1:29.772.
Teammate Francesco Bagnaia finished 7th in 1:29.791.

MotoGP’s first Grand Prix weekend blazed in the heat of Thailand with the top 13 and five manufacturers covered by less than a second.
MotoGP 2026: Blast Off! Buriram takes the riders back to the track after a test to the point we all expect – bikes in a frenzy. Reigning champion Marc Marquez (Ducati Lenovo Team) ended the season by running sixth in FP1 at Buriram, just one place ahead of team-mate Francesco Bagnaia. Peco, 0.019 seconds behind Marquez, has set 19 laps compared to the #93’s 21, but both will have valuable information in afternoon practice. Franco Morbidelli (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) was eighth ahead of Alex Marquez (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) and Luca Marini (Honda HRC Castrol), which made it four manufacturers in the top ten.
