The keeper was Bumrah perfect – 137kmph angled wide of the crease, pulled back sharply to take de Kock leg. After Arshdeep bowled a tight first over, Bumrah took his first strike to remove de Kock. He followed up Rickelton’s wicket in his next over, leaving South Africa reeling at 20/3 in the power play. The Proteas’ top order was in shambles and Bumrah’s figures at that stage read 2 overs, 2 wickets for just 6 runs – a testament to his accuracy and control.
