Indian porter-fruit Ishan Kishi found himself in the unusual position of making headlines for both his on-field heroics and off-field romances. Speculations about his relationship with him after his match-winning 77-run win against Pakistan in the 2026 T20 World Cup Aditi Hundia reached a fever pitch – only to be met with conflicting statements from his own family members.
The drama started when Ishaan’s grandfather Anurag Pandey spoke to the media after India’s emphatic victory over Pakistan in Colombo on February 15. In an interview to ANI, Pandey publicly confirmed that the cricketer is in a relationship with model Aditi Hundia and stated that the family fully accepts his choice.
“I fully agree with whoever Ishan wants to marry. We are ready to accept whoever Ishan Kishi wants to marry. Aditi is his girlfriend. She is a model. You have to accept the one who makes the children happy.” Pandey told ANI.
Baba went further and said that wedding bells could be on the horizon. According to family discussions, the marriage could take place in late 2026 or 2027 depending on Kisha’s cricket schedule. She even shared an emotional story revealing what she told her grandson: “I want to see my bride’s face before I die” It prompts Kisha to openly confess the relationship.
The statement, which was released within hours, led to widespread speculation that India’s star opener would be shut down shortly after the World Cup.
Ishaan’s mother cleans up the wedding noise
But the excitement caused by the grandfather’s revelation was short-lived. Ishaan’s mother Suchitra Devi stepped in to give a definitive statement that threw cold water on the wedding buzz.
Speaking to IANS, Suchitra Devi made the family’s position clear:
“It’s not about marriage, it’s time to play cricket. He’s not old enough to talk about marriage. Grandpa is getting a little old. Old people are always a little excited. Something or other comes up on social media. He said all this based on what he saw on social media.”
He stressed that his son’s focus should remain on his cricket career, especially at an important stage like the World Cup. “His focus is on Team India matches, performances, responsibilities. When he calls, we miss the cricket talk – he knows the field best. Let’s celebrate his contributions, not his personal life.” he added.
The mother’s statement immediately put an end to the wedding speculations, stressing that Kisha’s current priority is to represent her country on cricket’s biggest stage.
Who is Aditi Hundia? The woman behind the headlines
Amidst the family drama, the focus also shifted to Aditi Hundia herself. The Jaipur-born supermodel has made a significant presence in the fashion and beauty industry.
Aditi was a finalist in Femina Miss India 2017 and also succeeded in Miss Diva 2018 establishing her identity in the modeling world. Her father is a businessman based in Jaipur and she completed her early education in the Pink City before developing an interest in modeling during college.

With over 2,90,000 followers on Instagram, Aditi maintains an active social media presence and has built strong fashion credentials through various brand collaborations.
Ishaan and Aditi’s relationship first came into the limelight during the IPL 2019 season when they were often spotted in the stands during his matches.

Their interactions on social networks and cozy pictures over the years only fueled speculation about their relationship.
It should be noted that Aditi visited West India to celebrate Isha’s birthday during her India tour in July 2025, which made the family realize that the relationship was serious. He has also participated in several of its matches, including the games in the current World Cup.

Isha’s excellent batting form continues
While his personal life has been making headlines, Kisha’s main focus remains firmly on cricket as his mother insists.
The 27-year-old left-hander was in sensational form during the 2026 T20 World Cup. He is currently the leading run-scorer for India in the tournament, amassing 158 runs in three innings at an amazing strike rate of 197.50.
His knock of 77 from just 40 strikes against Pakistan – 10 fours and three sixes – earned him the Man of the Match award and turned the tide of the high-pressure encounter in India’s favour. The innings was particularly significant as it showcased his growth against the spin bowling that was once a concern of his game.
Kisha’s return to form comes after a difficult two-year spell out of the Indian team. During this time, he focused on domestic cricket, leading Jharkhand to its first Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy title, finishing as the tournament’s top run-scorer with 517 runs at a strike rate of 197.31.
