Liverpool have confirmed that Jarell Quansah has signed a new long-term contract.

The Reds have successfully agreed to extend the 21-year-old’s deal, keeping him at Anfield for the foreseeable future.

The centre-back has enjoyed a breakthrough and remains close to receiving his first senior England call-up.

Jarell Quansah credits Arne Slot for the new contract with Liverpool

Domestically, although Quansah was given his Liverpool debut under former manager Jurgen Klopp, it has been the arrival of Arne Slot that has lifted the youngster to new heights.

“I couldn’t be happier right now,” said the defender Liverpool F.C.

“I think the way the new manager has come in, his style of coaching has been a big part of that and I think it’s the best club in the world for me to develop and become a better player .

“I think the players around me, who I look to work hard and listen to, I think are the best in the position at the moment. So, like I said, there’s probably no better place for him to be.”

Rival with Ibrahima Konate righting partner club captain and legend Virgil Van Dijk at the heart of the Reds’ defence, Quansah is clearly a highly valued member of Slot’s squad.

Now rewarded for his good development, the 21-year-old’s latest deal will see him move up the ranks of the team, both state-wise and financially.

The Reds are also expected to offer Konate and New offers from Van Dijk as Slot prioritizes sorting out the future of his first-team defender.
