Scott Ogden returns to action at the first Moto3 test of the 2026 season at Portimao.
Scott Ogden 2025 Moto3 The world championship ended in disaster when he ended the season on the operating table after crashing at the Valencia Grand Prix.
Ogden stumbled in the opening round of the season finale, ending his first season with the CIP Green Power team.
The English rider had previously been on a strong run, finishing seventh at Sepang and eighth at Portimão, but finished the 2025 season 15th in the championship, the highest finish of his Grand Prix career.
After surgery in Madrid, Ogden is expected to see the opening round of the 2026 season at the Thai Grand Prix. However, it now looks like the British rider could line up on the grid at the Changi International Circuit.
Scott Ogden returned early in the Porimao Moto3 test
Originally, doctors expected Ogden to be back on track at the Brazilian Grand Prix in March, but the British rider returned to the CIP Green Power KTM a month earlier than expected.
On the second day of the Portimao test, the English rider completed 19 laps around the Portuguese circuit and found himself 15th on the timesheets.
Ogden is expected to be back on track at the upcoming Jerez Moto3 test on February 14th and 15th.
After the Portimao challenge, Ogden in Ex“Not a very productive test with only a few laps completed due to the weather, I’m really happy to be back on the bike, especially a full month ahead of schedule.
