The current champion of the Olympic Games 100 m. Noah Lyles returns to Boston for his eighth contest New Balance Indoor Grand Prix coming off a 2025 campaign that began with his fourth consecutive 60m victory here and ended with a fourth consecutive world title in the 200m, as well as a bronze medal in the 100m and the US gold in the 4x100m relay at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.
The men’s 2000m will be headlined by the 2022 World Athletics Champion in the 1500m in an exciting clash of up and coming athletes. Jake Whiteman and two-time Olympic bronze medalist Grant Fisher. Having missed the major championships in 2023 and 2024 due to injuries, Wightman returned to full fitness last season, winning silver over 1500m at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo. Fisher, one of the most successful distance runners in American history, won bronze medals in both the 5,000m and 10,000m at the Paris Olympics and last year set world records in both the indoor 3,000m and indoor 5,000m.
Also going back to New Balance Indoor Grand Prix will be El St. PierreThe US record holder in 3000m. St. Pierre, a native of nearby Vermont, won gold at the 2024 World Indoor Athletics Championships in Glasgow in a national record time of 8:20.87. She also won silver over the same distance at the 2022 World Indoor Championships and finished eighth in the 1500m final at the 2024 Paris Olympics before taking most of the 2025 season on maternity leave.
2026 New Balance Indoor Grand Prix will air live on Saturday, January 24th from 4:00 PM EST to 6:00 PM EST and is a founding member of the organization. World Indoor Athletics Tour.
