Razgatlioglu raced on Pirelli tires In World Superbikes, however, he now uses Michelin tires. This will make his adaptation period even more difficult, and the 29-year-old has also hinted that he will have to ‘learn some tricks’.

Which MotoGP tracks are new for Torak Razgatlioglu?

Razgatlioglu knows many traditional MotoGP venues during his time at Superbikes. But since that championship is only held in Europe, some fly-tipping has created a new challenge.

These include Austin, Motegi and Sepang. He also never competed in Brazil’s Guyana, but the same goes for the rest of the field when the tournament returns to the calendar.

By the time Razgatlioglu arrives at the Malaysian GP in September, he will have hundreds of laps under his belt from pre-season testing. But a weekend in Texas in late March, only his third MotoGP start, could prove particularly challenging.

As he pointed out in the launch event, Razgatlioglu should be a major force in 2027. It gives Yamaha a chance to catch up when the series switches to Pirelli tires and the rule changes.
