On December 30, 2025, Tiger Woods turned 50 years old. As one of the greatest athletes of all time, Tiger’s his birthday and career were widely celebrated by fans and sports media alike. Now it’s time for Tiger to celebrate his 50th birthday and to do so he’s planned a suitably epic party.
From a huge celebrity guest list to an official name, a lavish welcome page, a golf dress code and the many nods of his career, here are the six coolest details about Tiger’s 50th birthday.
Tiger’s birthday party has a name… and a sponsor
Every professional golf tournament has an official name, and most have a company that acts as a presenting sponsor to help defray the cost.
Why not follow the same strategy for golf’s biggest birthday party? So decided Tiger and his TGR Foundation, which runs the event.
Tiger’s birthday will be officially known as “RED: Celebrating Legacy presented by EY US”.
The party will also act as the launch of the TGR Foundation’s 30th fundraising campaign.
The historic (and luxurious) Palm Beach Resort will be hosting
tiger lived in the Palm Beach area for a long time and over the years dozens of fellow PGA Tour pros and golf legends have joined him. It’s also a popular area for non-golfing celebrities and business tycoons.
So it makes sense that Tiger’s birthday party would be in Palm Beach. But the place is not your average Palm Beach location.
The Breakerswhich opened in the late 1890s, is one of Florida’s most historic and luxurious resorts.
Originally a rest stop for robber barons in the early 1900s, it has hosted the rich and famous for more than a century. The current hotel, built in 1925, features a Renaissance style and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
In addition to a charity event and birthday party, Tiger’s 50th birthday is also designed to celebrate his historic golf career. And the Masters has played a bigger role in Tiger’s career than any other tournament.
Tiger has won the Masters five times, including his first career in 1997 and most recently in 2019. After each of those victories, Woods hosted a Masters Champions Dinnerwhere he had to select the menu.
Why is this important? Because the dinner menu for Tiger’s 50th birthday party will display highlights of his five Masters Champions Dinners.
These highlights will reportedly include cheeseburgers, porterhouse steaks, fajitas, crab cakes, milkshakes and much more.
Tiger’s birthday celebrity guest list
We don’t know exactly who is on the guest list for Tiger’s birthday party, but we do know a few details about it.
First, 300 A-List guests have been invited. That might sound big to you and me, but the party organizers see it as “intimate.”
TGR Foundation CEO Cyndi Court spoke with Front Office Sports about the strategy behind the guest list.
“Obviously we could have made it bigger, but we also wanted it to be intimate so we could celebrate the people who over the years have made incredible commitments to Tiger’s vision of what the future could be,” Court said.
The dress code for Tiger’s birthday party is Sunday uniform
Given that the party has a name, title sponsor and theme, it only makes sense that it has a unique dress code as well.
Attendees at Tiger’s birthday party have reportedly been asked to add “a touch of red” to their ensembles for the evening.
This is a sign for Tiger’s career. Throughout his decades in the golf profession, Woods has always worn the same uniform for Sunday’s final rounds: a red shirt and black pants. The dress code, like the party’s name, is inspired by Tiger’s Sunday uniform (as is his clothing company Red Sun Day).
The music legend will perform for Tiger and celebrity guests
There have been several occasions when Woods has hosted events with musical guests. Older golf fans may remember the days of the Tiger Bash. Typically, when Tiger hires a music performer, you can bet they’ll be high-profile, popular, but often not critically acclaimed.
And Tiger’s 50th birthday party will be no different. Performing for Tiger and his celebrity guests will be New Jersey’s own Jon Bon Jovi.
What’s next for Tiger Woods?
After his birthday party is over, we’ll all be back asking the same thing: when Tiger will play pro golf again?
The answer: no one knows (including Tiger). He still is recovering from surgery he underwent last falland its schedule is unknown. We know that he will be present in TGL matches when the second season starts. But we don’t know yet if Tiger will be healthy enough to compete at any point.
As for the PGA Tour, a possible return date could be the 2026 Genesis Invitational, which Woods is hosting, from February 19-22. This may turn out to be an overly optimistic assumption.
If we know anything about Tiger, there’s one tournament on his calendar above all others, one he’ll definitely play if he’s healthy enough: The 2026 Masters, which begins April 9 at Augusta National.
