on friday, Payntr Golf unveiled a limited edition Eighty Seven SC, which product engineers worked closely with the former no. 1 in the world Jason’s day for over 10 months to develop. The significance of the “87” in the name – which is subtly incorporated throughout the design – is Day’s year of birth and also his favorite number.
“Our goal has always been to create a true performance advantage for golfers without sacrificing style or comfort,” Day said in the release, “and I truly believe we’ve achieved that with the Eighty-Seven SC.”
Day wore a prototype shoe during the 2024 season while they fine-tuned its details. The Eighty-Seven SC is waterproof, breathable and built for maximum comfort with a performance foam padding and PMX Nitro+ 3D injection molded footbed.
“Jason has brought a fresh perspective and invaluable knowledge to this collaboration,” said Mike Forsey, co-founder and president of Payntr Golf. “His expertise and passion for the game is evident in every aspect of Eighty Seven SC.
