When I say I’m a golf shoe expert, I mean it.
My credentials are what they are. I’ve tested more than 150 different golf shoes from every brand under the sun. I know what makes a good golf shoe and I know just as well what makes a poor performer.
Every year, MyGolfSpy tests spikeless and spiked golf shoes under strict protocols to tell you which golf shoes to buy and which to avoid. You can read those articles HERE.
But as someone with a penchant for golf shoes, I too have my own list of what I think are the best golf shoes you can buy. You’ll notice that in some places, it matches our most requested testing. In others, however, my personal preferences shine through.
With these caveats in mind, here are the best golf shoes of 2025, in my opinion.
1. PAYNTR FOR Rainshedder RS1
If you follow me on Instagram, you saw this coming. It’s definitely my personal best shoe of the year. The S of PAYNTRPeed Classic platformer is the best in the gameand have only increased its performance by adding a waterproof shroud and a knitted boot.
Not only is it the best golf shoe of the year, but I also think it’s one of the best looking golf shoes of the year. I love a good boot!
2. NIKE Victory Pro 4
I have hyped and talked about Victory Pro 4 all year. The Scottie Scheffler shoe is definitely the best NIKE has made in years and definitely their best shoe this decade. I love it so much it’s been left in my car all year as the couple grab it and go play with it. Oh, and it’s less than $150, which is amazing compared to the competition.
If you’re looking for a budget studded shoe, you won’t find many better options.
3. adidas TOUR360
yes, The iconic TOUR360 franchise had to make my list because the 2024/25 iteration is very good. It’s probably the most well-rounded golf shoe on my list when it comes to strict performance. A perfect balance of stability, traction and comfort. Couple that with a premium leather upper and a wide array of color options and there’s no doubt the TOUR360 is on my exclusive list.
Because it technically came out in 2024, most pairs are on sale at this point which is a huge win.
4. Alma Mater Beta Longwing
Very rarely there is one the first iteration product impressed me so much. But to Alma Mater Beta Longwing it is, hands down, one of the best golf shoes I’ve worn this year. It has all the technology and performance that the big brands offer. No, they’re not cheap, but once you slip into a pair like this, you’ll wonder why you ever went with anything lower quality.
If you’re okay with a heavier shoe built from real raw materials, this is a no-brainer.
5. adidas Adizero ZG
Rounding out my list is another adidas model, this time of the studded variety. of The adizero ZG is one of those shoes that really dropped at the beginning of the year so it’s easy to forget. It’s lightweight, offers great step-by-step comfort, and features one of the best studless traction patterns you’ll find on the market.
If you are looking for something light and portable, this is the shoe to get.
