As one champion ascends, another is in the lightweight division next season, and several young talents are in the running. So, with that said, MotoGP News takes a look at five Moto3 riders fans should be looking out for in 2026.

Maximo Quiles
2025 rookie Maximo Quiles has been outstanding this season, winning three races. Despite missing four of the first five laps, the Spaniard finished third behind Ruda and Angel Piqueras.

Joel Kelso

The Australian has struggled for consistency in the lightweight division, but 2025 appears to have turned the corner. Kelso is still winless in Moto3, but four podiums have helped him finish sixth in the standings.
It looks like he’s finally found his feet and is able to compete at the front. Kelso is desperate for his first win in Moto3 and is on track to do so in 2026.

Scott Ogden He progressed in 2025, taking his first Moto3 pole position at the Sachsenring. Unfortunately, he retired from competition throughout the season – struggling to achieve top results.
The English rider finished 15th in the season with just three top-10s. But 2025 was the best year, and if he can continue that growth in 2025, the female platform may not be too far off.

David Munoz
David Munoz showed his skills in 2025, winning three races and securing eight podiums, including five consecutive podiums between Assen and Balaton Park.
However, a rough start to the year, with three DNFs, and his season being cut short after a crash in Indonesia took a toll on him. He finished P5 in the championship, but if he can stay eligible in 2026 he can certainly do more.
Adrian Fernandez
Adrien Fernandez, brother of Trackhouse MotoGP rider Raul, finally won his first Moto3 race of the 2025 season in Valencia, finishing P7 for his sixth season in the category.
It was arguably his best season with four podiums and two pole positions. Heading into his seventh year in Moto3, he will have to fight for the championship, and now that his first win has arrived, it could be the momentum he needs.
