The third round of the 2025 Hero World Challenge begins on Saturday, December 6, at Albany GC in the Bahamas. You can find the full World Hero Challenge schedules for Saturday’s third round at the bottom of this post.
Separate training time for the 3rd round
This year’s edition of the Hero World Challenge is looking more and more like a shootout, with 11 players within three shots of the lead at the halfway point of the tournament. The current lead is shared by five players with 10 players: Hideki Matsuyama, JJ Spaun, Wyndham Clark, Cameron Young and Akshay Bhatia. Young wrote the round of the tournament so far, posting an eight-under 64 that included seven birdies and an eagle, and a 30 on the back nine.
“I barely missed on 11,” Young said after his round. “Hit it close on 12. Left hanging on the front lip on 13. Yeah, then I was lucky enough to get in on 5 and make a putt on 16 and 17. It’s just one of those little stretches where I had a couple taps and then made a couple, too. It just ended up being a big string of good holes.”
A win this week would mark Young’s second of the year, following his first PGA Tour victory in the Wyndham Championship in August.
Young will advance to the third round on Friday at 11:00 a.m. ET along with Matsuyama.
