Sri Lanka booked their seats Pakistan T20I Tri-Series 2025 Final After just six runs, the home team at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Thursday, November 27.
Strong Total in Sri Lanka, Winning Game
Sri Lanka’s innings was anchored by Kamil Mishara’s blistering 76 off 48 deliveries, six fours and three sixes, after losing his toss.
Mishara found solid support from Kusal Mendis, who bowled just 23 quick balls, as the visitors recovered quickly after getting out early for 8 in the morning.
The late fireworks came with a 10-ball 10-ball 17-ball Sri Lanka push to mark 180. Pakistan’s most effective bowler was Abrar Ahmed (2/28), who successfully applied pressure in the middle overs but prevented Sri Lanka from gaining momentum at the death. The visitors’ batting depth proved crucial as they went on to test Pakistan under lights at all times.
Dushmantha Chameera’s violent powerplay burst and nervous breakdown over
Sri Lanka’s victory was built on the back of Dushmanta Chameera’s extraordinary 4/20, a spell that combined raw pace, accuracy and clever variation. He made Pakistan sound early by removing key top-order batters, including Babar Azam for a duck.
Wicket-to-wicket lines have left Pakistan struggling to gain momentum and every breakthrough has changed the game dramatically for Sri Lanka. There was a defining moment over Chameera’s over: with Pakistan needing just 10 runs, Bowling PinPoint Yorkers conceded just three. The crucial delivery was Faheem Ashraf (7) and a crushing yorker that extinguished Pakistan’s hopes.
Young pacer Eshan Malinga chipped in with 2/54 despite Pakistan’s late surge, offering much-needed support. Chameera’s post was the difference in the result – the player of the match award.
Despite the heroics of Salman Ali Agha, Pakistan’s late wave falls short
Pakistan endured an early start to the chase, with Sahibzada Farhan (9) and Babar emerging with a significant run early on. Short resistance Saim Ayub (27) and usman khan (33) came in, Usman Khan (33) trying to rebuild the setup with positive batting.

Salman Ali Agha’s 34-ball 44, a composed and calculated knock that kept Pakistan’s hopes at bay, stabilized the innings. He put together a partnership of 56 and 70 runs that gradually dragged Pakistan back into the contest.
With ten runs needed in the final over, the momentum appeared to favor the hosts. However, the dewy conditions and rising tensions could not stop Chameera from performing flawlessly. Pakistan ended on 178/7falling six runs short of the target.
The result sets Sri Lanka up for a showdown in the series finale on Saturday (November 29) by dismantling Zimbabwe.
