United have held the record for 16 years which was set when the Red Devils went 25 games unbeaten between September 2007 and May 2009. The streak featured 20 wins and five draws, one of which was their end of 2008, which Sir Alex Ferguson’s team won. on penalties against Chelsea.
The Red Devils were not at their best during the group stage of the 2008/09 campaign, but remained unbeaten throughout. After knocking out Inter, Porto and Arsenal in the knockout rounds, Man United’s 25-match unbeaten run ended when they were beaten 2-0 by Barcelona in the 2009 final.
