1961– Steve Machuka’s individual victory led Cornell to the team title at the Octagon Championships in Van Cortlandt, New York.

1973– This was the first year that the NCAA had three divisions, with both the Div.II and Div.III championships held on the same day in Wheaton, Illinois.

Most likely, he could have signed a lucrative pro contract early in his career, but the Louisiana native did
has decided to compete collegiately for LSU during the 2019 season. Won the 2019 NCAA indoor title,
finished 2th Outside at Chris Nielsen’s before turning pro. His two parents, Greg (his trainer) and Helena,
competed for LSU. Dad held the family record in PV (19-1/4 (5.80)).
