Ryan Garcia posted a workout video today of working on his speed steps in his lounge workout. This is the second living room workout posted on social media this week, suggesting he has a fight in the planning stages.

Fans want to see Garcia (24-2, 20 KOs) back to fight WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios, WBA champion Rolly Romero or Devin Haney.
Ryan’s promoter, Oscar De La Hoya of Golden Boy Promotions, says there is “talk” for him. He says he wants Garcia to fight “one of the top champions”. It would be Rolly, Barrios, or the winner of the Devin Haney vs. be Brian Norman Jr. fight.
De La Hoya gives a hint
“Right now I don’t know if Ryan is still going through rehab for his hand or shoulder,” promoter Oscar De La Hoya told the AH Show about Ryan Garcia. “There is battle talk. I would like him to fight the very best again.

The fight that makes the most sense for Ryan is a rematch with Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero for his WBA welterweight title. Garcia looks to avenge his 12-round unanimous decision loss to Rolly earlier this year on May 2 at Times Square in New York.
Ryan froze after being dropped by Romero in round two and never did much of anything for the rest of the fight. It seemed he was afraid of being caught by Rolly again, so he fought defensively against a very beatable fighter.
No tune-ups left
Rolly telegraphed every punch he threw by making a loud screeching noise. It was obvious whenever he would hit, and oddly, Ryan didn’t take advantage of this mistake like Isaac Cruz had in 2024.
“I would love to see him up there against one of the top champions, there are no more adjustments here, not at this level,” said De La Hoya.
